SAMA's humane education programs educate youth about animal welfare and how they can make a paw
print in an animal's life. It's important for children of all ages to understand that animals are living creatures that
have feelings and that they depend on humans for empathy and kindness. Learners will understand their
responsibility to treat animals with dignity and respect. While engaging in this program learners will explore some common
approaches taken to problem-solve. They will explore how individuals, groups and/or organizations use problem-solving
approaches to resolve community issues or needs and promote the common good. This program offers learners opportunities
to explore ways of addressing issues of animal welfare and humane treatment.
SAMA's GO GREEN
campaign will also be incorporated into this program to teach learners Environmental Stewardship to gain a deeper understanding of
the importance of their role in providing a clean environment to promote healthy ecosystems in which animals can thrive.
THIS PROGRAM IS FREE TO ALL
CHILDREN IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT.
